this is a story of a girl

The weekend draws oh so near and a little girl sits all huddled up on her bed. Feeling the isolation from her own solitude, she stares blankly at the four whitewashed walls she is confined in and has come to call it home. She lets off a heavy sigh and closes her eyes. Her mind wanders through her thoughts, weaving in and out of reality and fantasy.

She rolls on her back and opens her eyes. She gasps for in front of her she sees a golden door. Tempted, she holds back; fighting the urge to lay hands on the beautifully chiselled silver doorknob afraid of what's behind the object it is bound to.

She closes her eyes again thinking it will go away once she opens them again. But nay, the door stays steadfast, unwilling to vanish. She hears voices, some she recognizes, some she wonders who but all calling out her name.

She looks at the door again and reaches out her delicate hand to it. She touches the doorknob and it opens by itself.

Like a vacuum, she immediately gets swept in. Such a force blowing at her, she fears the worst for her. Her body could not stand the pressure. She sheds a tear from the pain while twisting and twirling seemingly in the air. Will she die from the utter force on her body? Where will she end up? What is happening?

She breathes silent prayers all thorugout the ordeal when finally she opens her eyes. She gives a small gasp as she drinks in the scenery. Oh the sheer beauty of the flowers, the lushness of the grass, the majesty of the trees, the crystalline skies and the purity of the river flowing not far from where she sat.

Bells ringing from a distance, it sooths her, she sways along with its melody as if in a trance. she closes her eyes and starts drifting off to sleep. she suddenly opens her eyes. listening closely in case she mistakes what she hears. she strains hearing, yes it is. someone is singing to the bells! such magnificent voice! strong yet melodic and controlled... could it be? it sounds like a young male. she stands up to investigate...

to be continued (:
