Got an order to make 7 friendship bracelets and I have been quite the procrastinator... Well, not really, since I have been busy with work and packing. Family has decided to move to Singapore for good by the end of the year and so I have been trying to deal with it the best I can (emotionally and mentally).
At least I got these bracelet orders to get my mind off the situation for a while. These are what I've done so far during the weekend (=
Did you know? According to indigenous tradition, the recipient of a friendship bracelet must wear it until the threads wear out or fall off naturally? The giver of this gift pays for the hard work and love that took to make it, while the recipient of the bracelet repays the friend by honoring the gift which signifies an everlasting friendship ♡

Plain Bands - Triple Banded
Triple Banded Plain Band
I'm glad this turned out pretty well (= Got a friend who ordered 3 plain bands for friendship bracelets and I asked her if she'd be willing for me to try putting them in a single band. She agreed and I'm quite happy with the results! What do you think?

Danie's 18th Give Aways
So, it was my sisters 18th birthday today and as part of the give aways for the people who attended, they got friendship bracelets in all her 3 fave colours: Red, Black and White.
These were the first 5 I've done.
Yes picture quality is quite bad (being that my phone only is 2 mega pixel)... I wrapped them around my purple bottle to stretch them out. I managed to make 7 more today but I had no time to take a photo of it all. Oh well...
The guests seemed to have liked it, and I'm glad (= Danie took one for herself in the end, the one that looks like a "pokeball" I think its the 2nd to the bottom, from the picture above.

Colour Schemes - Crochet Thread
I don't have much of these kinds of threads because they are EXPENSIVE. So I only bought the colours that people have requested their bracelets be like. Again, I am open to requests.
(It doesn't show well but #1 is actually white, I think the colouration was off due to it still being in the plastic while I took a photo of the collection.)
So these shall be the threads that I will be using for the peruvian bracelets (=
Oh! Please do take note, I may change the patterns on how I do or lay out the peruvian bracelets depending on the COLOUR CHOICES and HOW MANY STRINGS were asked of. I hope those of you who ordered wont mind? Haha. No worries though, they turned out nicely (=
God bless!
NEW for new years (=
Ok so this is how the peruvian looks like with normal Cotton Thread...
It does look thicker. But the strings don't really line up that well...
(SORRY PAM! If you want a do over with the new strings I will do it for you for free ^^ )
Now these are the Crochet Thread that most bracelet instructions and tutorials ask of us to use.
And I can see why now.
This is how the peruvian looks like while making it (the backside).
And the completed front side! It looks glossier and the strings line up so much better!
5 Stringed Peruvian
And this is the 10 Stringed. It looks straighter as there are more strings to form the lines.
Close up. For this I used yarn instead of hemp (what I usually use) for the backbone or the "bump".
I think I shall be (by default) making JUST the PERUVIANS with the Crochet Thread as it shows better results! And its easier to knot with.
The other friendship bracelet bands however (other than peruvians) I shall continue using the cotton thread since there's not much of a problem with the knotting when I used those.
OK, got to get one more bracelet done I am would be finished with the current order list that I have... =D Any enquiries or orders just email me! Info can be found at the side bar.
GOD BLESS!
